Removing rodents does not automatically remove the contamination they leave behind. Droppings, urine, nesting material, carcasses, and contaminated insulation may still require cleanup after the pest problem is controlled.
Do not stir up contaminated debris unnecessarily
Dry sweeping or aggressively disturbing contaminated material can spread dust. Limit access and use an appropriate cleanup plan for the affected area.
